I Am The Streets

I am the streets …

I will kidnap your son

Raise him

Then return him to you and your family

So you can bury him

I am the streets …

I am from where if you aren’t packing

You get caught lackin, and you get hit

the backspace, then you life is deleted

I am from where omertà is the code

And if you fold, you get hit with bullets

and not stitches.

I am the streets …

I will make you skip school to make bread

But first you have to serve that butter

Nothing you could tell a young dude, coming

straight from out the gutter

Only thing he know is jugg & finesse so he

could eat good around supper

I am the streets …

Don’t play, cause I keep 25 in the chrome, with

one in the dome

They say I’m known to play for keeps, so you

might not make it home

Fox 5 Reporting Live, they just witness

a mass murder shootout

But you was on your way home, taking the school route

*Boom, Boom, Boom*

*Bang, Bang, Bang*

They said it was 2 shots in the chest, and 3 bullets

grazed right across the victim’s face

Whole family watching the news

Until you unexpectedly hear somebody say …

“NOOOOOO”

Then you turn back toward the TV, then you see

your son’s face … Tragic

Sincerely, The Streets
