For more than 35 years the Parkmont School has been celebrating the creative talents of the District of Columbia’s middle and secondary school students by sponsoring the annual Parkmont Poetry Festival.

A Gift from Finalist Judge Anne Woodworth

2018 Finalist Judge Anne Woodworth was unable to attend the Festival, but sent along her gift to the 40 winning poets: a new composite poem created out of excerpts from all of the winning poems; she called it a “convolute.” Read Anne’s remarks to the winners and her “convolute” of their poems here.
